Last week, we welcomed Sofie Kerremans to our team. Sofie is our newest content marketer & community manager - about time to ask her some burning questions!
Hi Sofie, how have your first few days been so far?
Wonderful, I’ve settled in really well! I’ve already did lots of different things and everyone has been so kind and welcoming. Unfortunately, it’s all online for now, but I can’t wait to meet everyone in real life!
Why did you choose Blastic as your first employer?
Because the atmosphere within the company really spoke to me. Everyone is seen as equal, regardless of your job title. I’m so happy to be able to do what I love most: blogging & creating social media content!
What are you most excited about?
Seeing our social media platforms grow and evolve. It’s always amazing if your content delivers the right results. And I’m very excited to see what the future holds for me here at Blastic!
What would you tell clients who struggle with social media?
I would tell them to take a look at their brand identity and corporate image since storytelling is a huge part of a business’ presence on social media. If you start at the beginning, you can create a unique approach that will define you from the others. Defining your target audience is really important as well - you can't create content if you don't know who you are speaking to.
To conclude, I'd like to ask you our (infamous) rapid fire questions - this means that you have to answer with whatever comes to mind first!
I would go for Anna Wintour. The journalist in me would go mad! Vogue is one of my favorite magazines and it would be an honor to rule it for a day. The idea of meeting all those celebrities and attending the most prestigious fashion shows sounds like a dream!
A while ago I started using plant-based and sustainable products as much as possible because I try to think about global warming and the way we’re living our lives today. I would never promote products that are not sustainable or which do not contribute to a better planet/life. I’m part of the next generation so it is up to us to make a change.
Without a doubt, Harry Styles! I can’t go a day without listening to one of his songs.
I’m a fan of him since I was 12 years old, and he played a big role throughout my childhood. Harry still inspires me to become who I want to be. “Treat people with kindness” is not only one of his songs but also became my motto/quote to live by.
Oops, I don’t drink coffee... I would rather drink a hot chocolate! And I also love a delicious fresh homemade iced tea during hot summer days.
